The IBJJF announced several new rule changes for upcoming events. The biggest change is regarding the double guard pull. The double guard pull is when two combatants pull guard at the same time resulting in two competitors sitting simultaneously. Many fans complain that this makes for a boring fight and essentially eliminates the takedown game in many matches. This is a huge rule change that could have an instant impact on matches.
